Grow your small business.

Are you an aspiring wedding planner [or event related entrepreneur] in the early years of your business development? Are you overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information out there and not sure where to start or how to get clients?

"Being a Wedding Planner" isn't just about BEING an amazing wedding planner. Along with that, there’s marketing your skills, actually selling your services and running a small business.

Hi I’m Meris!!!

Hi I’m Meris!!!

In today's virtual world, there are so many resources out there for aspiring business owners. While that's amazing, it's also super time consuming.

Insert predictable sales pitch here––––> With over 20 years in Hospitality and 11+ years specifically in the wedding biz, I'm here to answer all of those big and little questions and provide insight on things you maybe haven't even considered yet.

Worried about not having the money to invest in your small business?

Absolutely!!!! I totally get that. I spent so much time undervaluing my services and putting my energy in all the wrong places in the early years of my business. That's because I had more time than money and didn't think I could afford to hire someone for web design or contracts or templates and forms - let alone business advice. This was long before the days of Canva, Calendly, Pinterest, Aisle Planner, Honeybook and Timeline Genius etc. Now, the question I ask myself is, could I have gotten to the point where my business was actually profitable YEARS sooner if I had a strong mentor to guide me? Spoiler alert, the answer is definitely yes.

You could argue that it's all part of the journey and you learn as you go and you're EXACTLY where you need to be at any given point in time. [I call this the "Fake it till you make it" approach] But with all of the virtual noise out there, it seems more important than ever to cut to the chase and get the honest personalized guidance of someone who's "been there - done that". What you don't want to do is spin your wheels into early burnout before you even start to turn a profit.

So how do you know if I'm your person?

I’m a go with your gut kind of gal and wholeheartedly believe “when you know you know”. Trust that little voice inside that’s guiding your path.

I may be the mentor for you, I may not be. If you're interested in finding out, I would love to set a quick Zoom to hear more about your dreams and your goals and your specific needs.

So what does one on one mentorship look like?

Mentorship can come in all different shapes and sizes.

  1. You may be stuck in a rut and need one or two hour long sessions to talk it out, get inspired and get your energy flowing again.

  2. You may want unlimited email access with 1 check in call a month to keep you accountable.

  3. You may be interested in a more narrow focus: the forms and documents I use in my own business, website copy, proposal templates, pricing structure, workflow audit, social media strategy, sales coaching...the possibilities are endless.

Sometimes in life you need to take a leap of faith in order to get to that next level. It’s hard to see what your future could look like when you’re focused in on the day to day. Sometimes one small step can be the catalyst for lifelong change.
